Adult ADHD Assessments

I currently offer adult ADHD Assessments.

The assessments are conducted in line with the latest recommendations as stated in The Adult ADHD Assessment Quality Assurance Standard (AQAS).

The assessment process

Screening Appointment (60 minutes in person (Sevenoaks) or remote)

During this appointment I will assess your experiences of the traits/symptoms and challenges you are living with that have motivated you to seek an ADHD assessment. I will screen for other conditions such, as for example, ASD, anxiety and depression. During the screening appointment I will discuss with you if I think a full ADHD assessment is indicated or not. If not, there will be no report provided and I will discuss with you further options which might be useful for you, such as a different type of an assessment, psychological therapy or any other additional support you might find helpful.

ADHD Assessment (120 minutes in person (Sevenoaks) or remote)

Before the assessment I will ask you and a member of your family who knows you as a child to complete questionnaires on some relevant aspects of ADHD. I will also ask you to complete a Client Consent Form.

During the assessment I will follow the latest version of the Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in Adults (DIVA-5). This will be administered as a dialogue and a conversation rather than as test. During the assessment I will assess for the presence of ADHD symptoms/traits in your childhood and adulthood and how these impact on the quality of your wellbeing.

Having an assessment does not mean you will be diagnosed with ADHD. If you are not we will discuss the findings.

If you are diagnosed with ADHD a full report will be provided within 2-3 weeks of the assessment appointment. The report will contain future recommendations.

If you have any further questions please get in touch.
